Spectrum South was proud to sponsor the 26th annual Houston Transgender Unity Banquet, held on September 15, 2018 at the Doubletree Houston Intercontinental Airport.

The largest transgender community event in the city, the Unity Banquet raises money for scholarships, Houston Pride activities, annual recognition awards, and small grants.

Danielle Benoit left her home in Katy, TX as a teenager to search for a place in Denton’s queer community. She received her B.A. in Radio, Television & Film from the University of North Texas. She now lives in Houston, where she is active in the city's queer community. Representation in the media is something that she is very passionate about. She aspires to create images and stories that queer people can identify with.
